Kogo In The Form Of A Mandarin Duck

A small metal kogo, in the form of a Mandarin Duck.
This kogo, used as an incense burner, has been created in the form of a Mandarin duck, which are generally portrayed as a symbol of conjugal love and fidelity. They mate and pair for life. In Chinese and Japanese paintings, they are often swimming harmoniously, regardless of whether the water is calm or choppy. Oshidori (Mandarin Duck) themed objects are often given as wedding gifts.
At Connolly, curation is more than just selection; it is the expression of a singular vision informed by a love of art and a deep appreciation of craft. Our Mayfair townhouse is a living gallery where carefully chosen antiques, objects and works of art create an environment of constant inspiration.
