Eric van Hove - FENDUQ

An exhibition of sculptures in collaboration with Clara Zevi.

Connolly is pleased to announce an exhibition of Eric van Hove sculptures, on view from 22 February to 19 April 2023, organised in collaboration with Clara Zevi. A selection of van Hove’s work of the last decade will be shown, from hand-made replicas of car engine parts, to his latest project, Mahjouba IV, an electric moped built by, and for, the local Moroccan market.

Van Hove (b. 1975, Algeria) is a Belgian artist, raised in Cameroon and living in Marrakech. His practice challenges how the legacy of craft can be upheld in the face of mass production and consumption. Van Hove works with a team of Moroccan craftsmen, relying on local, collective intelligence and domestic materials and techniques. His sculptures incorporate engineering, design, craft, and art.
